Obsessed: Byredo Gypsy Water

Byredo Gypsy Water and I are a match made in heaven.

Byredo Gypsy Water is not at all what I expected. From the name, I expected another boring patchouli based stank. But no, Gypsy Water blew me OUT OF the water. The first note that I want to touch on is the warm, cozy, creaminess of this scent. There is something so familiar and comfortable about it. It is not overpowering but it does not completely fade into the skin. It’s top notes of bergamot, lemon, pepper and juniper berries; middle notes of incense, pine needles and orris; and base notes of amber, vanilla and sandalwood did not particularly interest me upon reading about the scent but they all come together in perfect harmony to make Gypsy Water one of my new favorite scents.
